Risk Assessment
Electrics
When producing work on a PC, laptop or any other electrical equipment you should always make sure that you don’t have any liquids nearby that could spill and damage the equipment as it could result in loss of work or possible injury’s to yourself, the user or anyone else nearby.
Wires must always be kept out of the way or at least marked so that people don’t trip on them or pull any important or valuable equipment off a table where it could harm someone or get damaged.
Paints/ Drawing
When painting make sure there are no spillages on the surfaces as someone could slip and hurt themselves.
Make sure there is space to walk without tripping over bags, tripping on pencils or paintbrushes, and there are no other trip hazards lying around.
Craft Materials
When using craft materials make sure to pick up any refuse left after cutting and moulding as they could cause someone to trip or slip.
If using a craft knife ensure that the blade is away when it’s not in use or you could catch yourself on it and hurt yourself or if someone else trips and falls they could hit the knife and be seriously injured.
If using a glue gun, stapler or nail gun they should always be used with goggles and gloves as they are dangerous and can be a hazard if used incorrectly.
